Evidence pack
In investment compliance, an evidence pack is a dated bundle of records showing which rules applied, what was found and how exceptions were handled.
An evidence pack answers the question a board, auditor or regulator asks: how do you know the policy was followed? It brings together the rules in force, the monitoring results, breaches and their resolution, waivers, attestations and data-quality issues for a period. Each item should trace back to its source.
The need is often statutory. Trustees in England and Wales who delegate asset management must assess whether their policy statement is being complied with (Trustee Act 2000 s22). Charity Commission guidance (CC14) expects trustees to consider whether their manager is complying with the investment policy.
In Acclimetry, evidence packs and reports are generated from the system of record, and past results can be reproduced. The audit history is append-only and hash-chained. See evidence packs for boards, committees and auditors.
